Developing auto-kinetic response to sudden
close range attack
 |
 |
| Through DCM's C.A.T. method students develop
reflex oriented responses to common attack patterns which,
when practiced
enough become
autokinetic. |
You are cornered and have very
little space to move. You assume a reactive cage guard position
a split second before your opponent attacks. He fires off an
attack but before he can throw a second blow you counter by simultaneously
blocking and striking back without conscious thought. How is
this possible?
At close range you have little to no time
to register and react to a sudden, explosive attack. But with
the right training it
is possible to bypass the conscious mind in favor of
hardwired reflexive action - even at close range when
reaction time is at a minimum.
The
Dynamic Combat™ Close Range Fighting System trains
students to react effectively by developing the A.R.T. of close
range combat. A.R.T. is an acronym for Autonomic Reflex Triggers,
the key component to the Dynamic Combat™ close range fighting
techniques. Through a series of progressive two man fighting
drills call Combative Action Templates (or the C.A.T. system
for short) students develop reflex oriented responses to common
attack patterns which, when practiced enough become autokinetic
(without conscious thought). The opponent’s actions literally “trigger” the
autonomic defenses and counter taking the conscious mind out
of the process.
