Integrated Trapping and Control Tactics
Taking the arts of immobilization and
control to new levels
You face an opponent whose
style is known for its trapping skills. You bait him into an
attack on your guard by holding you hands high and inviting
an immobilization. As he explodes forward to trap your lead
you dissolve it into a hook trap behind his head pulling him
down into your forward elbow smash. Before he can recover you
sweep his legs out from under him sending him to his knees.
He raises his arms in defense of his head but you lock a power
grab onto his wrist and trap his arms together as you punches
rain down ending the fight.
This seminar goes beyond the basic trapping
seminar taking the art of immobilization to a whole new level.
The art of
Dynamic Combat™ views trapping as one eight distinctly
different ways of attack. Among the eight ways, certain arts
are linked by similarities in technique and application. In
the area of contact and control tactics the arts of trapping,
grappling and balance attacks often function synergistically.
Few martial arts train to integrate trapping
techniques with other control tactics the way DCM does. This
seminar starts
with the basic principles of C&C training (Contact and
Control), and quickly moves on to hands-on instruction in how
to effectively integrate various levels of immobilization,
guard penetration and stance disruption all designed to “get
to the hit.”
